Job Description
The Financial Accountant's role is to support financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, reconciling, and reporting financial data by collaborating with various stakeholders where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare monthly Standard Journals.
2. Provide assistance with monthly HFM reporting where required.
3. Perform General Ledger reconciliations and provide meaningful information regarding reconciling items.
4. Analyze and interpret data to provide financial management information for decision-making.
5. Prepare monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
6. Respond to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
7. Verify supporting documentation for validity, accuracy and completeness and capture transactions on the accounting system.
8. Manage interface exceptions effectively and ensure that appropriate, timely actions are taken.
9. Inter-company transaction reconciliation and review.
10. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the departmental, company processes and procedures.
11. Assist in the intercompany reconciliations and payments.
12. Assist with Payroll recons and Journals.
13. Assist in monthly and year-end closure process.
14. Assistance with internal and external audits.
15. Ad hoc accounting projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience in similar field.
Experience working with African Entities.

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
