An exciting opportunity has arisen for a FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT at I&J, Head Office, Cape Town. The purpose of this role is for the preparation, implementation, and roll out of financial reporting templates on financial reporting software as implemented by the I&J Group across all spheres of financial reporting (management accounting, financial accounting, and tax reporting), ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders. The role is also responsible for the accounting, tax, and annual financial statement reporting of the international operations within the Irvin & Johnson group.

What It Takes to Succeed:

Experience that set you up for success:

• Preparation, Review and Analysis of General Ledger and Reconciliations.
• Financial Accounting on all legal entities within SAP.
• General Ledger Master Data Creation and Maintenance as well as Trial Balance Maintenance.
• Cost Centre Accounting, Preparation of Monthly/Budget and Forecasts cost centre spend and Reporting.
• Accounting for Group charge outs.
• Management of the Recurring Journal process: set-up and execution of all recurring journals.
• Review trial balance for reasonability prior to SAP closing for accuracy and completeness.
• Assistance with ad hoc reporting requirements from various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A Financial Accounting Degree
