Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensure all statutory requirements, including tax submissions and audits, are met efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Reconcile bank statements and various balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, typically 3-5 years.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and South African tax legislation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
