Financial Accountant – Luxury Hospitality Group (Bryanston)

Salary : R30,000 – R33,000 (Negotiable Depending on Experience)

Live-Out | Cost to Company (CTC) Package including Mandatory Provident Fund Contribution

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a meticulous and self-driven Financial Accountant for a leading luxury hospitality group based in Bryanston. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of financial controls, supporting budgeting processes, and overseeing financial reporting across the group’s properties.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Assist in developing and maintaining financial controls across all business units
2. Work closely with Finance Managers, Operations Managers, and GMs in budget compilation and planning
3. Review and interpret monthly financial accounts for each property, reporting any anomalies
4. Lead the year-end audit process for the group’s properties
5. Prepare and present monthly financial packs and weekly reports to the Finance Manager
6. Compile and analyse variance reports on all budget overspends
7. Highlight variances, discrepancies, and policy changes in monthly financial reporting
8. Ensure compliance with financial manuals and checklists
9. Draft and propose new policies and procedures for CEO approval
10. Oversee performance expectations of admin staff in financial roles
11. Lead training, development, and job satisfaction of accounting staff
12. Handle all personnel file maintenance, leave schedules, contracts, and payroll
13. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
14. Conduct audits on all personnel documentation

Requirements :

1. Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a financial accountant or management role within the hospitality industry
2. Experience supervising a finance team and operating with minimal supervision
3. Strong leadership qualities and commercial acumen
4. Matric certificate required; a financial qualification is advantageous
5. Valid South African ID
6. Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills essential)
7. ACCPAC
8. VIP Payroll
9. Hospitality PMS systems; NEBULA experience is a plus
