Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting to join our client in Welkom in a hybrid role. You will prepare accurate IFRS-compliant financial statements and support month-end and year-end closes.

You will analyze results, maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and assist with tax returns, ensuring strong internal controls and timely reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in financial reporting.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and SA accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Good reporting and stakeholder engagement skills in Welkom.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial results and present findings to management.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of all financial transactions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
