Job description

A well-established and dynamic company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to join their Finance Administration & HR department. This multifaceted role involves a combination of accounting, payroll processing, compliance tasks, and HR-related functions. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Daily processing of cash books, petty cash, bank reconciliations, and allocations
  • Weekly reconciliation of attendance to ESS leave records
  • Review and process payroll commissions
  • Submit EMP201 and tax payments (for 3 companies)
  • Prepare onboarding documentation and employment contracts
  • Administer pension, medical aid, and group life contributions
  • Reconcile and load payslips, IRP5s, UIF declarations
  • Capture bank/bond statements and update asset register
  • Prepare monthly management accounts (Retail)
  • Submit IRP5, CIPC returns, Coida return, and tax clearances
Skills & Experience
  • Strong proficiency in Sage VIP payroll
  • Experience in finance and HR admin functions
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
