Financial Accountant – Your Future Position?

As a member of the finance team, you will be accountable for managing the integrity of the local General Ledger (GL). You will liaise with Givaudan Business Services (GBS) for record-to-report completeness and accuracy. You will manage statutory Annual Financial Statements (AFS) preparations. You will prepare and manage company annual and provisional tax returns, reporting, and income tax payments. You will prepare and manage VAT returns and payments, including deferred VAT payments. You will coordinate and manage internal controls over the company's key business processes. You will be accountable for local treasury and cash management.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring overall integrity of GL and transaction recording.
  • Analyzing and reconciling accounts in GL, in liaison with GBS and Junior Accountant.
  • Closing period end in liaison with GBS.
  • Coordinating audits for the local legal entity regarding functional responsibility.
  • Accountability for statutory financial reporting.
  • Maintaining chart of accounts per Givaudan Finance manuals, ensuring integrity of master data with GBS.
  • Preparing and filing all statutory returns and reports for company taxes, including VAT, and attending to all queries.
  • Managing Treasury and Cash Management, including:
    • Local liquidity management
    • Local Forward Exchange Contract (FEC) management in liaison with Group Treasury
    • Local transactional bank relationship, including cash management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting or related role
