POSITION INFO :

JOB PURPOSE: The role will be focused on performing professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data to assist with oversight and control over the completeness and accuracy of the financial results. In addition, support operations from a financial side.

Accountabilities:

1. Preparation of daily payment packs.
2. Reviewing processed invoices and credit notes for completeness and accuracy.
3. Assisting the Financial Manager with profit margin analysis.
4. Tracing costs and revenues back to underlying activities.
5. Familiarity with using ERP systems (such as Sage Pastel).
6. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Management and Control: Invoicing for different revenue streams (Vending and Bill Payments). Debtor's and creditor's full function and ability to perform duties across different business segments. Reviewing debtors for overdue items and supporting the operations team. Municipal/Supplier reconciliations (daily, weekly & monthly).
2. Assisting with queries on municipal accounts.
3. Performing Statement of Financial Position reconciliations.
4. Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports by collecting data from various standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
5. Financial Analysis: Supply data on margins by product, location, segment, and customer. Provide Financial Manager with accurate financial data relating to periodic variances and their causes, focusing on spending variances. Analyze capital budgeting requests.
6. Insights and Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of various financial data and analytics reports by product, location, segment, and customer. Prepare the VAT and VAT Reconciliation for review by the Financial Manager. Provide support for internal and external audit requests. Preparation of monthly profitability reports for review by the Financial Manager. Any other Ad-Hoc duties which arise from time to time to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / CIMA

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role.
