The responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include ensuring the accurate execution of the company's accounting and financial activities.
Analyze the company's economic stability and provide financial information to other departments to support operational, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
The Financial Accountant is also responsible for reporting on costs, productivity, profit margins, and overall Group performance.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA) is preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience in a financial accounting role or financial management experience
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE Evolution) and Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of IFRS
- Familiarity with audit practices and principles

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Accounting: Oversee financial accounting, prepare monthly invoices, process journal entries, prepare management accounts, and analyze financial performance.
- Banking and Cash Management: Conduct bank reconciliations, review EFTs, and manage cash flows.
- Compliance and Statutory Requirements: Ensure compliance with tax laws, prepare VAT and PAYE returns, and support BEE audits.
- Audit and Internal Controls: Liaise with auditors and maintain financial controls.
- Project and Asset Management: Manage insurance claims, update asset registers, and oversee trade debtors and creditors.
- Group and Administrative Support: Prepare financial statements, assist with budgets, and support Group secretarial duties.
- Team Supervision: Manage and mentor junior finance staff.
