Our client, a well-established organization in the finance sector, is seeking a dedicated Financail Accountant to contribute to maintaining precise financial records and ensuring compliance within a structured and regulated environment. This role is integral to delivering reliable financial data that supports strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Where You'll Make an Impact

You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices accurately and promptly, verifying invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation to uphold financial integrity. Preparing supplier payment schedules, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving discrepancies will be key duties. Maintaining supplier master data, assisting with payment preparations, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes are essential to this role. You will prepare customer quotations, costings, invoices, allocate receipts, and reconcile customer accounts, including following up on outstanding debtors and resolving account queries. Additionally, processing daily banking transactions, performing bank reconciliations, maintaining the cashbook, monitoring cash flows, and assisting with petty cash reconciliations are vital functions. Preparing journals, supporting audit processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information and supporting statutory and tax compliance are also required.

To succeed, you should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, complemented by 5-10 years of experience in a finance or accounting environment. Strong expertise in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking, and reconciliations, along with supporting month-end processes, is necessary. Proficiency in Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software, along with a good understanding of accounting principles, Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis, is essential.
