Financial Accountant

JSE Listed giant seeks to hire a Financial Accountant to be the right hand to the Financial Manager.

POSITION INFO : Qualifications :

• BCom Accounting

Skills :

• Advanced Excel

Duties will include but are not limited to :

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights on variance and financial performance
• Prepare documentation for external audits and liaise with auditors during the audit process
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and maintain compliance with tax regulations
• Perform recons of bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy
• Monitor and report on company expenses, identify areas for cost control
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for internal and external review
