Job description

The financial accountant plays a key role in supporting the Financial Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the company. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and contributing to financial strategy and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP / IFRS.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, adjustments, and project performance analysis.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring proper cash flow management.
  • Assist in process improvements and implementation of financial controls.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Support ERP systems and financial software updates and enhancements.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition and adherence to accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS).
  • Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure timely payment of project-related costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate project accounting records and documentation.

Qualifications:
