The Finance Transaction Manager oversees the financial operations of an organization. They advise on investment plans, monitor the company''s finances, and produce financial reports. They work closely with management to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the company''s long-term objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Accountants: Ensure quality control & integrity over all financial transactions, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Review of Income Statement and Balance Sheet items monthly for management reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide full sets of management reports (accurate and complete) within deadlines every month, including various franchisor financial reports.
- Strategic input on financial results.
- Analyzing financial results from BI portals.
- Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet items (preparation/reviews) monthly and yearly.
- Review payments and reconciliations (VAT, salaries, suppliers, taxes, etc.).
Reporting and Project Accounting:
- Control all month-end processing & reconciliation procedures, checklists, and work calendars.
- Ensure all finance deadlines are met daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Control all year-end close procedures.
- Develop business processes and internal controls to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Prepare for annual audits, including schedules and queries.
- Prepare annual financial statements for all retail entities.
- Handle insurance-related work, ensuring policies are up to date and adequate.
- Liaise with insurance brokers, banks, auditors, and landlords.
- Manage cash flow, forecasts, and related activities.
Treasury:
- Handle all taxation calculations (Income, Provisional & Deferred) and submissions to SARS.
- Manage SARS-related audits.
- Conduct stock take procedures and analyze results.
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Assist with acquisition and due diligence processes.
- Streamline and automate systems and procedures.
- Prepare presentations for directors and shareholders meetings.
- Maintain systems like Sage Evolution.
- Provide full backup for Finance Lead when unavailable.
- Manage specific projects and objectives throughout the year.
Creditors:
- Ensure creditor payments align with budgets and timeframes.
- Contribute to the annual budget process and monitor fluctuations.
- Assist with creditor provisioning (accruals).
- Perform internal and external creditors reconciliations.
- Conduct age analysis reconciliations.
Requirements:
- CA (SA), CIMA, or BCom degree.
- Minimum 2 years retail or multi-site experience.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS for SME and SA taxes.
- High computer literacy with advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable).
- Sage Evolution knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Excellent reconciliation skills and financial technical knowledge.
Salary: up to R70,000 per month CTC.
