More about the role:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between finance and IT for financial system needs, focusing on financial controls, finance process improvement, accuracy and integrity.
  • Document as-is and to-be finance processes and internal controls thoroughly.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements and work with relevant teams to implement changes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive automation and efficiency within the finance function.
  • Administer, maintain, and enhance core finance systems and reporting tools.
  • Support the month-end close and financial reporting cycles, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial data or system processes.
  • Gather business requirements, design accounting solutions within existing financial systems, and document processes.
  • Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting for finance teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades or new functionalities.
  • Stay current with financial regulatory requirements and system best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications & Accreditations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, BCom Accounting, or related field (required).
  • Registered CA (SA) recently qualified (completed articles), or strong accounting process background preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience or familiarity with Microsoft ERP products (Dynamics 365, Great Plains, NAV) and/or Oracle EPM (advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes, and internal controls.
  • Experience with financial or management reporting tools and business intelligence platforms (advantageous).
  • Minimum 1–3 years' relevant work experience, either in audit or accounting practice or a finance role within a commercial environment.
