Job summary

Old Mutual Limited seeks an experienced Architect to lead domain architecture for Finance and Risk. You will define baseline and future-state architectures, derisk initiatives, and translate policies into technical solutions across cloud, API, and data platforms.

You will mentor architects, collaborate with CFO and IT teams, and ensure governance and security across domains. A strong background in Oracle, Python, and SOA is expected.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in banking or financial services with 3+ years in architecture roles.
• Deep understanding of finance and risk processes, systems, and regulations.
• Strong cloud knowledge (AWS and Azure).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, or financial systems.
• Experience with Oracle, Python and SOA.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain baseline domain architecture.
• Define and maintain the future-state architecture and roadmap for Risk and Finance domains.
• Derisk the domain and the organization from architectural risk identified.
• Translate finance and risk policies into architectural guidelines and technical solutions.
• Lead API and microservices integration across finance and risk systems; guide implementation with DevOps.
• Mentor system architects and developers; ensure architecture governance.
• Ensure compliance with security controls, risk policies, and data governance.
