Job summary

Fynbos Accounting is seeking an experienced SAIPA-qualified candidate to own the firm’s Finance Function and support several operational processes. The role combines financial management with internal operations, and you will work closely with the Director on strategic tasks.

You will handle payroll, bookkeeping in Xero, tax compliance, and proposal support using GoProposal. A proactive, ownership mindset and strong Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• SAIPA or AGA qualified and registered.
• 2+ years post-articles experience in an internal finance role (3+ years preferred).
• Genuinely wants to build a career in internal finance and support operations.

Responsibilities

• Owns the firm’s Finance Function and some Operational Processes.
• Manages monthly payroll, bookkeeping, month-end packs and compliance work.
• Supports proposals and client engagements using GoProposal; maintains accuracy of financial data.
• Oversees Karbon checks, onboarding, and KPIs; coordinates office and culture activities.
