Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for a Financial Operations Analyst in Cape Town – South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Financial Operations Analyst (FOA) you will be a highly motivated, curious and proactive D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) user to take on the role as FOA. An FOA will act as a bridge between other FOA’s, FSO, Superusers and end users from Finance, Supply Chain and other departments within Scatec. This role will provide frontline support, training, and process optimization within D365 F&O to drive system adoption, efficiency, and data integrity across the Scatec Group.

You'll play a key role in maximizing the value of our ERP investment and shaping daily operations. If you're passionate about systems, processes, and supporting your colleagues, this role is a perfect opportunity to make an impact and be a thought leader.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive improvements in ERP processes and system usage to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user adoption
  • Collaborate with FSO and external consultants to resolve system issues
  • Be the primary point of contact for D365 F&O end users on a global basis
  • Represent local business needs in Group-led process and system initiatives, ensuring that global solutions are effectively adopted and adapted to local context. Drive the development, adoption, and effective use of the Group’s data platform and Power BI reporting tools, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Act as a subject matter resource on system localization requirements and packages for a relevant region
  • Document processes and maintain user guides and training material
  • Participate in ERP roll-out projects, such as planning, localization, training, hyper care
  • Support Process owners by deploying Master Data structures and ensuring knowledge transfer of the processes

Qualifications and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in IT or Finance.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 F&O advantageous
  • Wide operational experience with Dynamics 365 F&O or AX2012; herein strong knowledge of finance modules
  • Preferably experience in Finance and Project Accounting within D365.
  • Advanced user of Excel Power Pivot and Power queries
  • Structured mindset
  • Interest in ERP systems management and improvements
  • Ability to consolidate data from several sources for presentation
  • Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, written and orally

For the particular role we also expect:

  • Support testing and training during implementation and during production upgrades
  • Assist in the Development and Maintenance of Group wide templates for D365 F&O
  • Ensure that the D365 F&O processes are aligned with HQ policies as well as develop procedures
  • Proven operational experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including deep knowledge of finance modules, and the ability to support administrators and super users in implementing, maintaining, and optimising global ERP processes
  • A digitally curious and adaptable mindset, with a strong drive to use data and digital tools to streamline processes, solve business challenges, and elevate digital maturity across the organisation
