Job summary

Goodbye Malaria is seeking a Finance Officer based in Gauteng, South Africa for a full-time, on-site role. You will maintain financial records, process transactions, and support compliance with donor requirements and audits.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in finance, 2–5 years’ experience, and proficiency with Xero or similar systems; you will collaborate with teams to strengthen financial controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in finance or bookkeeping.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, creditors and VAT.
• Experience with Xero, Sage, Pastel or similar platforms.
• Donor-funded environment experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process transactions.
• Prepare reconciliations and monthly financial reports.
• Support VAT submissions and donor reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and grant regulations.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and audit preparation.
