Job description

Our client, a leading payments service provider, has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer in their Finance team based at their Head Office in Stellenbosch. The main purpose of the role is supporting the finance team by ensuring smooth execution of administrative, financial, and operational tasks. The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, and pays attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.

They have strong communication skills and work well independently. A proactive and adaptable approach, as well as the willingness to support the team in various ad hoc requests, is key to succeeding in this role.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Organise and maintain online filing systems folders for finance-related documents.
  2. Retrieve, scan & file financial documents, handling routine & ad hoc document requests.
  3. Assist auditors with supporting documents during the annual audit.
  4. File and send annual CPI increase letters and new network sign-up documents.
  5. Manage insurance claim submissions.
  6. Onboard vendors with database forms and obtain documents such as BBBEE certificates.
  7. Support administration and document requests requested by partners and suppliers.
  8. Create, verify, and load bank beneficiaries for approval.
  9. Maintain banking records, capture amendments, and support with banking profile/s administration.
  10. Send monthly debtor invoices/statements and manage the debtors' mailbox.
  11. Collate and verify travel and business expense claims, ensuring timely submission.
Minimum requirements:
  1. Relevant tertiary qualification;
  2. 3-5 Years of experience in a similar role;
  3. A strong understanding of administrative systems and processes;
  4. Understanding of the payments environment would be highly beneficial;
  5. Fluent in business English, any additional languages will be seen as beneficial;
  6. Own reliable transport.
