Job description

Purpose

Instructing daily and weekly trades, and performing script reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure information related to the Group's investment assets is processed accurately and promptly in the general ledger and reconciled to source systems.
  2. Timely dispatch of trade instructions to Asset Managers such as NinetyOne & STANLIB.
  3. Manage cash for the portfolio to ensure accurate reporting and risk management.
  4. Liaise with Mancos regarding trade instructions and queries.
  5. Monitor automated batches and manually instruct payments when necessary.
  6. Perform daily balancing of trade upload files and submit to Standardbank.
  7. Complete bank reconciliations and SAP reconciliations and journals accurately and timely.
  8. Communicate professionally with Mancos to resolve queries and obtain statements.
  9. Collaborate with stakeholders within Liberty, including ALM, the cash team, and Standardbank replication.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Grade 12, BCom, or equivalent (or studying towards) – an added advantage.
  • Post-matric qualification in accounting – an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar environment.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure and follow through on queries.
  • Team player.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP skills.
  • Hi-portfolio (Hiport) skills are advantageous.
  • Uphold Liberty Leader behaviours.
Knowledge
  • SAP, Hi-port, Microsoft Excel, electronic banking applications for corporate users.
