Job description

The Role:

We are looking for a Finance Officer to assist our finance team in administering accounting operations. You should be familiar with audits, invoices, preparing and filing tax returns and budget preparations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate interest in managing accounting activities such as bank reconciliations, tax submissions, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organisational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks. Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for assisting the day-to-day management of financial transactions and procedures.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and monthly reporting pack
  • Cash flow forecasting and cash flow management
  • Processing and capturing daily gateway transfers
  • Preparing and regularly updating the Cash Budget
  • Prepare and filing tax returns i.e., EMP201 and VAT201
  • Daily bank reconciliation on QuickBooks Online
  • Regularly updating the assets register with additions, disposals and depreciation

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (Minimum requirement)
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role (2 years+ of experience)
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Experience using financial software (QuickBooks will be of benefit)
  • Advanced G Suite and MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
