Job description

Functions:

  1. Managing accounting procedures and computer application systems that deliver the accounting records
  2. Providing monthly financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff
  3. Managing financial regulatory requirements of the JSE and other related authorities
  4. Managing cashflows and bank reports
  5. Managing the taxation obligations
  6. Managing the annual audit
  7. Creditor payments, both local and offshore
  8. Annual insurance review and ensuring cover
  9. Good knowledge of business and financial management principles
  10. Maintaining the financial health of the organization
  11. Contributing to and supporting strategic and growth initiatives of the organisation

Qualifications needed:

  1. Matric
  2. B Comm (Finance) or Equivalent / Diploma in Finance with accompanying experience

Skills and experience required:

  1. Stockbroking, JSE BDA system knowledge is desirable and preferential
  2. SAGE Accpac
  3. Proven knowledge and delivery in a financial responsibility
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  5. Knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific legislation
  6. Tenure and experience in a financial role
