Job Description
A dynamic, fast-growing investment firm seeks a driven Finance Manager - Senior Accountant to oversee all financial operations. This is a high-impact role for a finance professional seeking ownership and direct contribution to company success. The role is full-day in-office and permanent.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all finance-related functions, including financial record keeping, financial and management reporting, regulatory reporting, debtors and creditors management, budgeting, cash-flow management, payroll management, and all ad-hoc financial management functions. You will work closely with senior executives, ensuring the financial management functions are performed efficiently and effectively, in alignment with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full financial management, from record-keeping to reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Regulatory compliance (IFRS, Companies Act, etc.).
• Payroll, debtors/creditors, and audit management.
• Financial analysis and strategic support.
• Manage cash flow and optimize cash utilization.
• Oversee monthly payroll and SARS reporting.
• Drive internal controls and ensure data accuracy.
• Lead the compilation of internal and external reporting
• Management accounting
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records.

Requirements

Degree and relevant professional qualification preferred, SAICA/CIMA/SIPA

5+ years Finance Management/Senior Accountant experience

Hands-on meticulous

2+ years' managing a small finance team.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, the Tax Act, Companies Act, and risk management.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and integrity.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Strong commercial judgment and cost control focus.

Commitment to driving change and innovation.

Financial services industry experience is a plus.

Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Xero or Pastel experience required

Experience with managing performing monthly payroll

Responsible in taking accounts from transactional processing to final Trial Balance

Experience in financial reporting (financial statements)

Experience in corporate e-filing - responsible for VAT 201 submissions or PAYE filing

Driven, detail-oriented, and proactive. Self management - reports to the COO

Wanting to take ownership of the finance department

Pro-active, mature, organised, deadline driven, ability to multi-task
