Are you a qualified CA (SA) looking to make your next big move? Our client, a leading player in the retail industry, is looking for a dynamic and commercially savvy Finance Manager to join their team in Cape Town.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven brand that operates across several African countries. You’ll lead a team of finance professionals and play a critical role in shaping strategic financial decisions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a finance team (approx. 7 people) across key functions including management accounting, business analysis, and reporting
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles for Group and subsidiary operations
• Oversee treasury operations across African markets—manage banking systems, payments, and in-store transactions
• Ensure accurate stock and inventory accounting (FMCG, Cellular, etc.), and monitor Gross Profit performance
• Ensure compliance with SARB, VAT legislation, and other African central bank regulations
• Provide support and insight to management for strategic decision-making
• Contribute to financial projects and initiatives that support business growth and efficiency

What You’ll Need

• CA (SA) qualification is a must (Please note: CIMA is not accepted for this role)
• 5+ years’ experience in a Finance environment, with at least 3 years’ in audit or financial management
• Leadership/people management experience is advantageous
• Retail industry exposure strongly preferred
• Experience working across African markets is a plus
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and accounting for foreign currencies
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and financial systems
• Willingness to travel to African countries on an ad hoc basis
• Must be a South African citizen
