Job description

The Finance Manager, (Operations) is responsible to provide strategic Finance and commercial direction to the Operations department whilst providing day to day management of the same and provide support to the Head of Operations and Head of Capital Projects. He / she will be responsible for designing and implementing financial processes to save on OPEX and CAPEX for the Operations and Capital Projects department, analyzing the ROI (Return on Investment) and profitability for all new and current operations. This position provides oversight to the Project Accountant, Operations Accountant and Operations Administrators in setting the direction, enforcing policies, driving best practices, and overseeing efficiency. This role will also provide strategic direction and business partnering to the Heads of Operations, Power Solutions and Engineering on the direction of business with regards to Opex savings on the Operations expenses and serve as a business Leader to drive this process. He / she will at the required SLA’s coordinate and supervise the report of the finance activities of the Operations team to the Chief Finance Officer that would eventually be utilized for monthly closing by the accounting team.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting or related field.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in Compliance, Audit, Financial Reporting, Business Development, or Strategic Reporting across various industries, with at least 5 years spent supervising a team of 2 or more individuals.
  • Proven P&L management experience at a divisional level within a multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing debtor and creditor teams.
  • Hands-on experience working with Oracle systems.
