WomenLift Health seeks a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will manage budgets, ensure compliance with donor requirements, and contribute to the organization's mission of advancing equality in health leadership. This fully remote role requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to the organization's values.
Position Title : Finance Manager(Non-Profit) Location : Fully remote, preference for candidates from India, East Africa and South African countries Reports to : Operations Director Hours per week (average) : 40 hours (100% FTE) Our Vision and Mission– WomenLift Health envisions a world where diverse, accomplished leaders collectively transform health outcomes. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead and strengthen our financial operations across multiple regions. This role is central to ensuring financial integrity, supporting programmatic success, and contributing to the long-term sustainability and growth of WomenLift Health. In addition to overseeing financial systems and compliance, the Finance Manager will be hands-on in day-to-day operations—processing invoices, reconciling accounts, preparing budgets and reports internally and externally, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and donor requirements. The ideal candidate is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also aligned with our core values and eager to contribute to an entrepreneurial and mission-driven, global organization. This role does not include direct staff supervision. Key Responsibilities Support the Operations Director in managing organization-wide and regional budgets, including helping prepare and track budgets across teams. Maintain accurate, up-to-date reconciliations of actuals versus forecasted budgets on a monthly basis. Set up and manage grants and budgets across multiple donors, ensuring compliance with funder requirements. Contribute to the development of grant proposal budgets and budget amendments, working closely with multiple teams. Process and track routine financial transactions, including grants, invoice submissions (including ad hoc reimbursements) and payments in alignment with donor and contract requirements. Prepare financial reports for donors, leadership, and internal teams. Monitor spending patterns and help identify trends, flagging any issues or opportunities for efficiency. Prepare and help finalize regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) to support decision-making. Collaborate across teams to support financial planning and reporting With Ops Director, Ops Lead, and HR Manager, contribute to process improvements, standard operating procedures, developing finance policies and processes, etc. as needed. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management within the nonprofit sector. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, donor compliance, and grant management. Knowledge or experience working with or across fiscally sponsored organizations, iNGOs, and PEO / EORs Skills & Competencies Comprehensive Excel skills : advanced formulas, data manipulation, data visualization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and remote work environment. Willingness to adhere to WomenLift Health core competencies : Preferred Qualifications Experience with international financial operations and multi-currency transactions.
