Finance Manager
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for advising the company on increasing profit through prudent financial practices, monitoring, and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures, and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
Key Performance Indicators
- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments, including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training, and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts.
Education
- Matric (Non-Negotiable) with an average of 65% or higher in Maths.
- Preferred: Honours Degree or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business studies, or a related field (e.g., B with Honours and completed articles).
- Qualified as CA (SA) (Non-Negotiable). Professional registration with SAICA is required.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a Manufacturing or operations environment (not in Financial institutions).
- Understanding of all facets of business operations, financial management, numeracy, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Strong knowledge of SA income tax, VAT, and other tax legislations.
- High level of computer literacy, including MS Office / Excel and experience with JDE.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage projects, and work under pressure.
- Experience managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants is preferred.
- Demonstrates commitment to teamwork, service, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Decisive, assertive, with strong relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in accounting practices, macros, spreadsheets, and financial modeling.
Package & Remuneration
Market-related. Working hours are from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
