Overview
- Lead and manage the group consolidation process across all hotel entities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and listed company reporting requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management at group level.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align financial performance with broader business objectives.
- Drive process improvement and ensure efficient reporting under tight deadlines.
- Take full fiduciary responsibility for the safekeeping and use of all funds and assets of the Company in accordance with Southern Sun policies and practices
- Assist Executive Management to reduce costs and improve profit by closely analysing and reporting financial data
- Act as the immediate contact for corporate, independent and all government regulatory agencies on all accounting and financial matters
- Are accountable for all internal accounting and administrative controls to ensure that all transactions are handled correctly
- Demonstrate sound technical accounting skills such as IFRS

The Successful Applicant
Requirements :
- BCom (Hons) Accounting and a registered Chartered Accountant [CA(SA)].
- 6-8 years post-articles experience, ideally within a listed company environment.
- Proven group consolidation experience.
- Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP advantageous.
- Prior exposure to a JSE-listed environment will be highly regarded.

- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and motivating a diverse team across multiple generations (Generation X to Generation Z);

- Comfortable working in a listed environment with strict reporting deadlines, including periods requiring overtime during forecasting cycles, half-year and year-end reporting, and other critical timelines;

- Be able to interpret financial data and make informed decisions;
- Analyse complex financial situations, identify problems and develop effective solutions;
