A multi-national company, leading a diversified investment portfolio with interests in IT, property, manufacturing, and more, is looking for a new Finance Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role leverages the current Operating Model to achieve efficiencies, focusing on people, processes, and business management.

As the Finance Manager, you will be required to present complex data clearly, oversee various accounting duties while maintaining high-quality practices, ensure financial stability, and contribute to the company's growth.

  1. Manage internal financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
  2. Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports
  3. Analyse financial reports and present findings to the executive committee and board
  4. Review company financial reports and identify cost-saving opportunities
  5. Analyse market trends to maximize profits and identify expansion opportunities
  6. Identify risks, propose solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations
  7. Research and report on business performance influences
  8. Prepare and present statutory accounts, including monthly, half-yearly, and annual close
  9. Manage and submit all taxes, VAT, and HMRC filings across South Africa and the United Kingdom
  10. Manage purchase and sales ledgers
  11. Prepare asset lists and oversee asset management
  12. Handle accounts receivable and payable ledgers
  13. Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and accounting entries
  14. Prepare and deliver management accounts and solvency reports
  15. Maintain and supervise HR processes such as payroll, payment releases, and employment PAYE
  16. Work closely with the Operations Director to strategically manage financial KPIs and targets
  17. Manage client debtors and creditors, including age analysis with operations
Skills & Qualifications
  • BCom Accounting degree
  • Minimum 5 years of management-level experience
  • Strong numeracy and technical skills
  • Proficiency in IT systems
