Introduction

Finance Manager | Office Automation
Boksburg
R50 000 - R60 000 pm

We are currently recruiting an experienced Finance Manager to join a thriving company within the office automation space.

Job Purpose

Manage the financial and accounting processes, including preparing financial reports, conducting research and analysis, maintaining the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with audit preparations.

Oversee financial planning, administration, and day-to-day financial transactions and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Cash flow planning, reporting, and management
  2. Review and approve all cash receipts, journal entries, and write-offs
  3. Handle customer refunds and account adjustments
  4. Assist debtors with queries and collections, resolve disputes
  5. Perform creditor reconciliations and approve payments
  6. Manage legal files for bad debts and legal handovers
  7. Ensure stock control aligns with forecasts and processes
  8. Conduct credit checks and approve credit applications
  9. Sign off on monthly journal entries
  10. Prepare financial management reports for CEO and COO
  11. Align departmental financial activities with strategic planning
  12. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasts
  13. Analyze and prepare management accounts
  14. Reconcile VAT and submit to SARS
  15. Authorize and release payments
  16. Implement internal financial controls
  17. Handle foreign currency bookings with joint authorization
  18. Drive financial planning by analyzing performance and risks
  19. Monitor the company's financial position and act proactively
  20. Set targets and supervise accounting and finance personnel
  21. Prepare financial reports quarterly and annually
  22. Conduct forecasts and analysis for upper management
  23. Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations
  24. Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit files
  25. Manage cash flows, working capital, budgets, and forecasts
  26. Handle tax functions, including VAT and income tax
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; MSc/MA advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Pastel and BPO knowledge advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, laws, and best practices
