About the role:

Location: Centurion

Permanent / Contract: 6 Months contract

What will you do?

Position purpose: To ensure accurate financial records of the entity, including the review of monthly reconciliations and management accounts.

Accountabilities
  1. Generic Objectives
  2. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures. Establish and maintain a sound financial control environment, including banking, cashflows, and audits.
  3. Operating Model: Ensure the review and finalisation of management accounts, including monthly reconciliations, by Service Level Agreement deadlines. Ensure the preparation and finalisation of financial statements and liaise with internal and external auditors. Ensure the review and finalisation of statutory returns (FSB, CIPC, SARS, and others) are done within the required frameworks and timelines. Ensure delivery targets/objectives are met and operate in a supportive manner to achieve successful delivery.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure defined legal, statutory, and regulatory compliance is appropriately implemented and maintained at the required standards for the team. Monitor operational risk and governance structures, measures, and frameworks within the team and address issues as necessary. Manage expenses, costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities to support the department in achieving its financial goals.
  5. Operating Model: Develop and implement team operational plans to meet delivery objectives. Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and supply chain. Resolve operational conflicts. Set achievable delivery targets and motivate the team. Support the business in preparing budgets and forecasts.

  1. Qualifications and Experience: 8 years relevant management-level experience in the department applying for.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. Understanding of agile development lifecycles. Commitment to continuous professional development. Skills in change management, executive business writing, presentation, task management, communication, innovation, risk-taking, quality focus, financial statement interpretation, and personal attributes fostering credibility, entrepreneurship, influence, collaboration, and ownership.
