Finance Manager

Our client is currently seeking a talented Financial Manager to join their group finance function. You will need in-depth knowledge of management accounting objectives, financial reporting best practices, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.

The company is currently in a growth phase, and the work of this role will contribute to setting up the group for its next phase of success, while delivering high standards at present.

You will be responsible for:

1. Financial process refinement, automation, and system change management
2. Actively participate in strategic and tactical decision-making and contribute to shaping overall financial direction
3. Key contributor to financial reporting and compliance, in IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, in South Africa and Europe
4. Leadership, cross-skilling, and peer collaboration—simultaneously acting as backup to all finance team members, including the Head of Finance, and identifying and implementing systems improvements
5. Contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual control procedures
6. Partnering with internal teams (development, product, and customer service teams)
7. Aligning financial strategies with business goals, anticipating trends, assessing risks and opportunities, and providing sound recommendations
8. Interpreting complex data, identifying trends, solving problems, and making decisions based on detailed quantitative analysis

Job requirements:

• CA(SA) or similar qualification
• 8 years of professional experience in auditing and senior financial roles
• Expert knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, local GAAPs) for preparing AFS and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in the use of accounting and related software (e.g., Sage Evolution, People, MS Excel)
• International professional experience (exposure to DTA’s, WTA’s, and transfer pricing)
• Experience implementing ERP system changes is advantageous
