My client in the retail sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and finance projects across subsidiaries. A CA(SA) with 5+ years' finance experience and strong leadership skills is essential, along with operational and strategic capabilities. Responsibilities :

1. Provide input and support the implementation of the Finance strategy
2. Manage financial processes - new accounting standards, budgets, forecasts, and audits
3. Manage various reports to the business
4. Manage all banking relationships, systems, and payments
5. Manage all store deposits & card transactions for stores across African countries
6. Ensure accurate recording and analysis of inventory entries
7. Review and reconcile inventory export and import entries
8. Ensure compliance and reporting related to the South African Reserve Bank
9. Maintain standardized Treasury policies and procedures
10. Ensure timely submission and payment of various returns
11. Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of Tax in line with IFRS and/or local GAAP
12. Perform ad hoc tasks and participate in projects

Requirements :

• Qualified CA (SA)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance environment, including at least 3 years in audit management
• Minimum 3 years leadership/management experience (advantageous)
• Retail industry experience (advantageous)
• Knowledge of financial control environment and governance
• Knowledge of accounting for foreign currencies and consolidation (desirable)
• Advanced MS Office, Excel, and computer literacy skills
