Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end and year-end processes.
  3. Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  4. Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  5. Manage and mentor one direct report (Accountant).
  6. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse departments, to ensure smooth operational flow.
  7. Take ownership of financial processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
  8. Manage supplier relationships and resolve supplier queries.
  9. Oversee debtor and creditor functions, including reconciliations and managing old debt.
  10. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
  11. Maintain and update product costings.
  12. Manage bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
  13. Oversee payroll processes.
  14. Address and resolve daily financial queries.
  15. Manage fleet administration (licenses, roadworthy).
  16. Contribute to stock management processes.
  17. Manage the tax affairs of the company (provisional tax, VAT submissions, etc.).
  18. Ensure accurate capturing of supplier invoices and statements.
Requirements:
  1. Preferably completed audit articles.
  2. CPA or similar professional registration is essential.
  3. Minimum of 3 years post-article experience in a finance role.
  4. While industry experience is not a strict requirement, preference will be given to candidates with a background in agro-processing or any other type of processing industry.
