Mission
Manages accounting and financial reporting activities within the organization to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Oversees banking, financial reporting, tax payments, payment processes (debts and credits), and assists in preparing financial projections (Budget and Forecast).
Main Responsibilities
Accounting & Tax
- Manages accounting records on SAP.
- Ensures compliance with local accounting regulations and monitors the production of financial reports, ensuring they align with generally accepted accounting principles and standards (IAS/IFRS).
- Prepares financial and consolidated financial statements in accordance with legislation, company policies, and deadlines.
- Provides advice to improve accounting systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions when necessary to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
- Prepares monthly and annual reports to monitor the local balance sheet (e.g., Free Cash Flow, Net Financial Position, EBITDA) and recommends corrective actions.
- Acts as an internal tax advisor within the defined tax area, coordinating tax issue resolutions and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Identifies tax opportunities and risks of non-compliance, proposing measures to mitigate tax risks.
Controlling
- Analyzes connections with Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Cost Center Accounting (CO) modules to provide a comprehensive view of product costing and manufacturing costs.
- Ensures standard cost calculations and understands product costs.
- Analyzes production planning, stock projections, and cash conversion cycles to understand financial impacts of working capital management.
- Monitors key financial KPIs to evaluate Business Unit performance and support organizational financial goals.
- Analyzes working capital, financial structure, and profitability, providing insights and corrective guidelines for sustainable growth.
Finance & Treasury
- Monitors daily cash balances and determines cash requirements.
- Evaluates payment instruments, verifies authorizations, and ensures proper execution.
- Ensures accurate SAP accounting of bank transactions and maintains updated supplier banking information.
- Manages currency transactions according to market exchange rates and shares guidelines on collection and payment conditions.
- Monitors expenditures and profits, recommending cost management strategies to maximize profits.
