As the Financial Manager, you will work closely with the executive team, gaining broad exposure to the business and overseeing the accounting functions for the group, along with key financial processes related to customer servicing. You will report directly to the Commercial Director and collaborate with other senior management team members.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the accounting function;
  2. Lead the Finance Department team;
  3. Ensure IFRS compliance;
  4. Handle monthly reporting, prepare Annual Financial Statements for multiple companies, and coordinate audit engagements;
  5. Possess a sound understanding of principles inherent in a financing business;
  6. Manage VAT & income tax returns and handle SARS queries;
  7. Oversee insurance matters;
  8. Develop and monitor budgets;
  9. Manage key processes to ensure effectiveness and maintain efficiencies;
  10. Ensure sign-off process compliance activities;
  11. Manage projects from planning to execution and debriefing;
  12. Coordinate project resources and prepare reports;
  13. Deliver reports timely and alert management to exceptions;
  14. Manage cash flow and forecasts;
  15. Prepare reports for Exco, Board meetings, and funders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience, preferably with exposure to mid-sized companies and reporting to external stakeholders;
  • Leadership experience in a financial role;
  • Working knowledge of IFRS;
  • Project management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (Advanced level);
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks;
  • Flexibility to adapt to business changes;
  • Analytical, organized, precise, and meticulous mindset;
  • Problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and strive for results;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong team player and motivator;
  • Position is full-time and on-site in Randburg.
