A diverse Financial Services Group, established in 2013, is seeking Finance Manager to join them at their offices in the Cape Winelands. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation through effective budgeting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and strategic financial planning. The incumbent will report to the CFO and oversee administrative and finance resources.
The ideal candidate will have completed SAICA or CIMA articles, hold a tertiary financial qualification, and membership to a professional body will be advantageous. Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Xero will be a positive but not a hard requirement and must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Lead the preparation of management accounts and variance analysis.
- Present financial performance insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and implement corrective measures where needed.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) in compliance with SARS.
- Maintain adherence to the Companies Act, B-BBEE requirements, and any other relevant legislation.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and banks.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, payment runs, and credit management.
- Manage working capital and optimize debtor and creditor cycles.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Drive a high-performance culture through effective training, delegation, and accountability.
- Implement and monitor effective financial controls and policies.
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Oversee insurance, asset registers, and risk assessments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Honors or postgraduate qualification advantageous.
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Completed CIMA or SAICA articles.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in finance, with at least 1 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Experience in the South African financial and regulatory environment.
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Xero).

Remuneration
- R480,000 to R660,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
