Job summary

A financial services company in South Africa is seeking a Finance Manager responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. You will manage financial planning, budgeting, and compliance while providing strategic guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, professional qualifications, and at least 5 years of management experience in finance or accounting. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in finance or accounting, including management responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital and cost control initiatives.
  • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors and regulators.
  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Lead, supervise and develop finance and accounting staff.
  • Review and improve financial processes, systems and internal controls.
  • Support business planning, investment appraisals and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Additional hours may be required during month-end, year-end and budgeting cycles.
