Sabot Group invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Finance Manager position reporting to the Group Finance Director for Sabot Group.

The ideal candidate will be required to process all financial information of the company, maintain an accurate set of financial records, budgeting, and management reporting of actual against budgets and forecasts using sound financial management practices.

The role will be based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities and KPI's:

1. Review and approve monthly actuals for Sabot SA and Sabot Properties including journal entries, cost analysis, revenue recognition, and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Prepare Trial Balance and accurate reporting at month and year-end.
3. Review and approve all creditors for payment in Sabot SA and SML and ensure payments are accurate with supporting documents.
4. Manage Debtors and Creditors department for Sabot Group.
5. Compliance to Group policies and procedures.
6. Setting and testing of internal controls (financial and operational).
7. Complete Budget and forecasting templates for Group, ensuring the consolidated cash flow for Sabot Group is in line with the strategy.
8. Deadlines are met for submission of budgets and forecasts.
9. Manage Sabot Group cash call forecasting and disbursements.
10. Group funding is distributed according to supporting documents and requests obtained to ensure the Operations have what is needed.
11. Manage audits and prepare financial statements for Sabot SA, Properties, and Holdings.
12. Liaise with external auditors to ensure that the financials are done as per requirements and within the time frame agreed.
13. Tax calculations, compliance, and submissions.
14. Ad hoc Financial assignments and presentations.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. CA (SA) qualification preferred, familiarity with CaseWare and ERP systems.
2. 3 - 5 years' experience in a management role.
