Position:
Finance Manager

Job Description:
Works closely with the finance executive to provide financial decision support. Offers insights and analysis through commentary on financial performance and assists in implementing corrective actions to achieve financial results. Facilitates and prepares operational budgets and reports on business performance.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance managerial role.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Commerce with specialization in Accounting.
  • Professional certification is advantageous.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide accurate and timely financial information, reports, and analysis, including formats, processes, and systems.
  2. Collaborate with Group Finance to ensure financial information meets business needs with high quality and integrity.
  3. Perform periodic and year-end closing in coordination with relevant departments/divisions, including IFRS financial statements for reporting.
  4. Manage the production of monthly management accounts and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders.
  5. Prepare financial information for Group finance, Board of Directors, and audit committee.
  6. Contribute to data model design to support cost allocation across dimensions.
  7. Validate, check, and reconcile planning, budgeting, and forecasting data.
  8. Highlight trends and flag potential issues.
  9. Ensure validation of budget data and review submissions and analyses.
  10. Collaborate with auditors to resolve findings.
  11. Implement policies and standards for costing, including cost allocation methodologies.
  12. Manage day-to-day finance operations within the segment.
  13. Produce cost reports through data mapping and design.
  14. Prepare budgets and plans aligned with group frameworks.
  15. Analyze segment-level financial data, budgets, variances, and forecasts to identify trends and risks.
  16. Oversee talent management for direct reports, including recruitment, retention, and development.
  17. Ensure adherence to performance management requirements and motivate staff.
  18. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation, working with Group Tax and Business Services teams.
  19. Collaborate with other finance teams and the portfolio executive to meet business requirements.
