Job Purpose:

Provide financial advice and support to the Financial Director

KPA / Main Outputs and Responsibilities for this Position

Provide financial advice and support to the Financial Director (30%)

  • Funding, revenue, and income generating strategies.
  • Cost reduction strategies.
  • Tax planning and tax structuring.
  • Internal control systems etc.
  • Support the Financial Director in overseeing, monitoring and the
  • evaluation of:
  • Group financial performance.
  • Investments, acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Group financial compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Finance Director in overseeing the financial operations of the company and developing financial strategy.
  • Keep abreast of issues and changes in the finance industry that are relevant to the company.

Manage the financial operations (40%)

  • Monitor the company's compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and plan the company audits.
  • Liaise with auditors on audit related matters.
  • Managing accounts payable and fixed assets.
  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting and month end routines.

Reporting and record keeping (20%)

  • Preparing and presenting reports on the company's financial performance to senior management.
  • Developing and implementing systems and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Managing the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting process.
  • Preparing and submitting regulatory reports.

Management of Resources (10%)

  • Determine the company's priorities and ensure affective allocation of resources to these priorities.
  • Manage human, physical and financial resources in line with the company policies, processes and procedures.
  • Develop efficiency measures to ensure optimum capacity utilization and performance.
