Job Title: Financial Manager

OracleMed Health, established in 2001, a leader in the medical health insurance industry across Africa, is looking for an experienced Financial Manager. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate proven experience as detailed below.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure full audit compliance
  2. Maintain up-to-date tax and fiscal administration requirements
  3. Track budgets and monitor performance
  4. Manage cash flow effectively
  5. Control costs within parameters and budgets
  6. Prepare monthly reports:
  • To the Board
  • To Underwriters
  • To In-Country Insurance Partners
  • Introduce and maintain internal controls
  • Oversee credit control
  • Manage policy administration processes
  • Oversee claims department, including claims processing, data capture, and payments
  • Staff management:
    • Attract and retain staff
    • Provide training and development opportunities
  • Assess financial and operational risks
  • Monitor product profitability
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
    • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
    • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
    • Strong communication skills
    Remuneration
    • Currently earning in excess of ZAR 1.5 million
    • Market-related, commensurate with experience
