Job Title: Finance Manager - FMCG Industry

Our client is a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, known for its high-quality products and strong market presence. With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they are dedicated to delivering excellent products that meet consumer needs. As they continue to expand their operations in Johannesburg, they are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Manager to join their team.

Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring the effective management of financial resources, and providing strategic financial advice to support the achievement of business goals. This role requires strong financial management skills, a solid understanding of the FMCG industry, and the ability to lead a finance team effectively.

Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reports to management.
- Identify key financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Monitor financial performance against set targets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

2. Financial Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Manage the cash flow and treasury functions, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing working capital.
- Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

3. Strategic Financial Advice:
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support decision-making process.
- Conduct financial analysis of investment opportunities and recommend favorable business strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate cost-saving initiatives.
- Advise on pricing strategies, product profitability, and cost allocation.

4. Team Management:
- Lead and motivate the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage resource allocation effectively.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
