Job description

Job Title: Finance Manager - Energy Business

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial management of the energy business, including consolidation review, analysis, and reporting of financial information. The role involves challenging data integrity, supporting tax and treasury functions, and preparing forecasts and budgets.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial forecasts and budgets aligned with strategic and operational needs.
  2. Reviewing financial models to support business decisions and analyzing financial performance against plans.
  3. Reporting on financial progress, performance of investments, and providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  4. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, including IFRS.
  5. Coordinating with internal teams and external auditors during audits.
  6. Managing risks, debt covenants, and optimizing the financial structure of the business.
  7. Leading cash management and financial planning in coordination with group treasury.
  8. Liaising with parent company and supporting functions for tax, internal audit, treasury, and other finance activities.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and experience in renewable energy finance, project financing, and complex group structures. Qualifications include a BCom (Hons) in Finance, Chartered Accountant designation, and at least 10 years of relevant experience.

Internal interfaces include Operations Finance, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Supply Chain, Group Treasury, Internal Audit, and Business Development. External interfaces involve auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

Essential qualities include high ethical standards, ability to work independently and within teams, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to multitask under pressure.
