About The Job

ITM Katope is a growing organization committed to operational excellence and sustainable growth. As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and guide the company’s financial strategy.

In this key leadership role, the Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organization through effective financial planning, analysis, and risk management. The successful candidate will play a central role in budgeting, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting—while also serving as a trusted advisor to senior management on all financial matters.

Additionally, this role will oversee accounting operations, optimize financial systems, and ensure the organization remains aligned with legal and industry standards. Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    Develop and oversee financial forecasting, planning, and analysis to support business decisions.
    Provide financial insights and recommendations based on market trends and company performance.
  2. Financial Reporting
    Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and stakeholders.
    Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
    Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
    Manage banking relationships, investments, and financial risk exposure.
  4. Risk Management
    Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Accounting Supervision
    Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
    Ensure proper financial controls and adherence to accounting standards.
  6. Budget Management
    Develop and monitor company budgets to ensure financial discipline.
    Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
  7. Audit & Compliance
    Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
    Implement internal controls to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  8. Team Leadership & Performance Analytics
    Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
    Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational success.
  9. Strategic Financial Support
    Work closely with leadership to develop long-term financial strategies.
    Provide data-driven insights to support business growth and investment decisions.
  10. Reporting to Leadership
    Present financial reports and strategic insights to executives and board members.
    Provide financial guidance to support decision-making at the highest level.
  11. ERP & Financial System Management
    Oversee ERP and financial systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
    Lead the implementation or upgrade of financial technology solutions.
Requirements
  1. Honours or master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  2. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, ACCA are highly desirable.
  3. 5 to 10 years of experience in financial management or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  4. Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (e.g., SAP, Oracle) with advanced Excel skills.
  6. Experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools is a plus.
  7. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  8. Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  10. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
