Job description

This position will be based in Johannesburg and the incumbent will be reporting to the Finance Director. Position Summary: This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing various financial functions to ensure efficient operations and compliance across the company.

Duties and responsibities:

- General Ledger Management.

- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.

- Reporting: Prepare management accounts, handle Holding Company Reporting, and compile Board and Governance Packs.

- Accounts Payable: Supervise the Accounts Payable department.

- Intercompany Transactions.

- Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.

- Oversee fixed asset accounting and verifications.

- Monitor cash flow, maintain banking relationships and optimize working capital.

- Costing: Implement cost accounting methodologies and analyze cost structures.

- Coordinate insurance policies and claims management.

- Collaborate on annual budgets and long-term financial plans.

- Establish robust internal controls and coordinate/conduct internal audits.

- Provide financial support to other entities and ensure legal compliance.
