Finance Manager
A well-established FMCG company is looking for a Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Finance Director SEA (South East Africa), you will be accountable for the management, control, and reporting of the Financial Accounting Department, Annual Statutory Financial Statements, Company Tax, and Insurance.
You will enforce internal and external financial policies and procedures and Corporate Governance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Business Reporting
- Verify and substantiate Credit Control.
- Approve Accounts Payable Templates.
- Approve Weekly Treasury File (Cash Flow Management).
- Submit Corporate Insurance Packages and ensure comprehensive business cover.
- Liaise with and report for SA Reserve Bank & Statistics SA.
- Ensure business decisions are based on reliable financial information, timely payments, and risk reduction.
- Prepare Statutory Annual Financial Statements for South Africa.
- Stay abreast of International Financial Reporting Requirements.
- Liaise with External Auditors for the Year-End Audit & Independent Review.
- Ensure accurate reflection of annual consolidated financial information and meet all financial deadlines.
Company Tax- Prepare and monitor Company Corporate Tax.
- Calculate Provisional and full-year Tax.
- Prepare Entity's Tax Schedules.
- Check accuracy of Tax Returns.
- Confirm Submission of Tax Returns.
- Report on Entities' Tax Compliance.
- Responsible for Annual Country-by-Country and Japanese CFC Reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing legislation, including Local File Information.
- Ensure Tax Legislation compliance.
Corporate Governance- Enforce Segregation of Duties & identify opportunities for MRI verifications.
- Execute Management Walkthroughs for JSOX and Swiss SOX.
- Handle CIPC Submissions.
- Minimize Business Risk.
Special Projects- Execute and manage identified projects.
- Monitor processes and approve sign-offs.
- Ensure Group compliance with international standards.
Backup Responsibilities- Verify Salary Calculations from People & Culture Department.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Skills: Strategic insight, financial management, coaching, planning, project management, decision making, analysis, problem solving, budgeting, management reporting, technical accounting, ERP proficiency, time management, interpersonal skills, SAP/Product Costing applications.
- Qualifications: BComm Hons in Accounting, CIMA, CA (SA).
- Experience: 3-5 years in Financial Management, with at least 2 years in Senior Management Team.
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, SAP ERP (preferred).
