Ideal candidates will have a CA(SA) or BCom with extensive experience in finance management.

Job description

The Finance Manager will lead the Finance team and function of a successful, national Electrical wholesaler.

Responsibilities include :

• Manage the finance function including financial accounting and budgetary control.
• Business Unit and Head office reporting (Monthly / year-end)
• Tax / VAT / EMP 201& 501 management
• Cash flow planning, Bank management, payment validation
• Oversee large debtor’s department, deal with credit problems
• Integrity of financial systems / data / reports / history
• Motivate and lead the finance team
• Manage projects : Budgets / Insurance values / Internal audits / etc
• Generate a range of monthly finance reports for upstream and downstream communication

Qualifications and Experience :

• Either new CA(SA) or BCom + Articles plus 7 years’ experience
• IT literate (will need to manage a unique bespoke finance system)
• Four (4) years or more experience in Finance department management is deemed advantageous
• Wholesale and distribution (with import / export) experience.
• Ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders, including those with limited accounting knowledge.
• Analytical and commercially minded, able to collect and analyse data and provide insight to improve business performance

This role will suit a hands on Finance Manager that has managed a finance team in a similar environment. Someone who is technically sound as a Finance professional and who is able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
