Job description

Minimum of 5 years of experience in regional finance management or a similar role.

  • Matric is essential.
  • A tertiary qualification in Finance (BCom in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to work long hours, short notice, weekends, and public holidays if needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Review all trial balances for all 19 KZN branches ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounts.
  • Analyse and report on the financial status, including income statement variances, and communicate financial results to directors monthly.
  • Cash book processing and regular bank reconciliation.
  • Verifying and capturing supplier invoices on the Omni Accounts system.
  • Cashflow Planning: Prepare weekly cash forecasts prioritising stock that is required for production.
  • Internal Controls: Review stocktake variances and ensure compliance with internal controls and processes.
  • Team Management: Lead and support the KZN finance team.
  • Prepare monthly Cost of Sales reconciliation to reconcile any differences.
  • Prepare monthly creditors control reconciliations.
  • Processing of monthly journals on Omni accounts software.
  • Finance department related administrative support, as and when required.
