Finance Manager - Cape Town (Hybrid)

Join one of South Africa's leading cloud accounting firms as a Finance Manager in our dynamic Cape Town team. You'll lead a high-performing team of accountants, play a key role in client success, and drive operational excellence—while enjoying the flexibility, autonomy, and innovation that define our culture.

What you'll be doing:
  1. Team Leadership & Planning: Design and manage monthly and quarterly work plans to keep your team aligned and efficient.
  2. Quality Control: Review accounting deliverables and ensure top-tier quality in everything your team produces.
  3. Mentorship & Training: Provide ongoing coaching, technical guidance, and training to your team.
  4. Client Engagement: Own client relationships, lead regular meetings, and use client playbooks to drive service consistency.
  5. Delivery Management: Ensure that all work is delivered on time, within scope, and exceeds expectations.
  6. People & Culture: Champion team wellbeing through regular one-on-ones, feedback, and team-building events.
  7. Compliance & Reviews: Guide your team through SARS reviews, audits, and ensure compliance.
  8. Performance & Development: Run structured performance reviews and actively mentor future leaders.
What you bring:
  1. 3-5 years in an accounting or cloud accounting environment.
  2. Proven team leadership or management experience.
  3. Completed articles and progressing toward your CGMA or Professional Accountant (SA) designation.
  4. A relevant degree (BCom/BAcc) or Honours in Accounting/Management Accounting.
  5. Solid knowledge of cloud platforms like Xero, Dext/Hubdoc, SimplePay, Cin7/Dear Systems.
  6. Strong experience with CaseWare or Draftworx for AFS drafting.
  7. Client-facing experience and a passion for relationship-building.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
  9. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for growth.
